Come to a free screening of “Just Eat It” on November 5 at the Vine Cinema

The City of Livermore Environmental Services Division invites you to a FREE screening of the award-winning environmental documentary, Just Eat It. The screening will be held at the Vine Cinema at 1722 First Street in Livermore on Thursday, November 5 at 6:30 pm.

Running approximately 75 minutes, this documentary follows Jen and Grant, two people who investigate the issue of food waste in North America. From farms, grocery stores, and even the back of their own fridge, they discover the shocking reality of the billions of dollars of good food that goes to waste every year. They decide to give up grocery shopping and survive only on foods that would have otherwise been thrown away. With compelling images of dumpsters full of organic chocolate, hummus, and other healthy, edible foods, this film provides an intriguing story that is both educational and entertaining.
