4 – 6 pm

Bankhead Theater Lobby

2400 First Street, Livermore CA

“Emerging Artists” is part of an ongoing collaboration between The Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center and LVJUSD.

This exciting new exhibition will provide students

a chance to showcase their work in a new way;

“We show work regularly at the High School…” says “Laura Thournir, Art Teacher at Granada High School, “…even if the students are in an art class and know they have talent, it’s a different kind of gratification to have your art viewed by people who might not even know you, it’s a wonderful thing, that sense of gratification and pride.” The exhibition will feature work in a variety of media including acrylic, pencil, charcoal, watercolor and photography.  The exhibit will be open from May 5 – June 2 and will be on view for patrons who attend any performance or event at the Bankhead Theater. The exhibit will be open to the public at the opening reception on Wednesday May 13.
