Livermore, CA – On Saturday, October 2, 2021, the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed Quest Science Center with a Ribbon Cutting Celebration at Stockmen’s Park, located at 29 Livermore Avenue in downtown Livermore.

Created by a group of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory retirees and community leaders to be a place where everyone – at any age – would have engaging experiences and understand the impact science can have on our society.  The City of Livermore agreed to include land for this new science center in Stockmen’s Park, the centerpiece of its downtown redevelopment plan.

Originally named the Livermore Science and Society Center (LSSC), the advisory board decided to change the name to Quest in 2019.  The name speaks to being on a journey where we Question, Understand and Explore – Science & Technology.

Explore everyday science at Science@Stockmen’s Park, a free, accessible monthly outdoor event for children, teens, and adults. From June through October, Quest will offer fun activities, stage shows, music, and more.
