HOT SHOTS! This is the spot to check for what's happening with our film office, to find out what's shooting in the area and find out how the film office is promoting economic development in the Livermore Valley. Another film production is coming to town! A corpoate video for PG&E will be shot in Livermore and Pleasanton April 18-21. They'll be using two homes and several businesses in the area to showcase how we can all save energy during peak usage times. This is a great opportunity not only for the locations they're using , but to showcase once again to production companies that we ate a great place to film. How does this help us? They pay location fees, use local crew and talent, purchase locally, etc. It's all economic development. Plus it can showcase the area as a great destination to visit. Benefiting the Aldon Wright Fund

Beeb’s Sports Bar & Grill is hosting its 13th Annual Charity Cup Golf Classic at the Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore on Friday, May 16th, 2008.  This year’s tournament is very special to everyone at Beebs because they are raising funds for someone very close to their hearts. All monies raised will be donated to the Aldon Wright Fund. Aldon is 2 years old and the son of one of Beeb’s long-time employees. Aldon has Cerebral Palsy and needs to attend a costly developmental program five days a week that teaches him skills that will improve his future.

The tournament begins with a BBQ lunch served on the patio followed by a 1:00pm Shotgun start. The cost of $150.00 per person includes golf, cart, lunch, dinner, complimentary beverage and food stations on the course, golf shirt, awards ceremony and huge raffle giveaway!

Mark Your Calendars and Purchase Your Tickets!  Don’t Miss the highly anticipated Livermore Legacy Tour on Sunday, May 18th from 11-5!  Advanced purchase is suggested as tickets are limited and expected to sell-out!

The first annual Livermore Legacy tour will show-case some of Livermore’s finest historical homes, both inside and out!  Many of the homes have been awarded historical plaques by the city of Livermore and all are over 75 years of age.  All of the homes are within walking distance and will feature vintage cars.  Docents will be sharing unique attributes of all of the homes in addition to the information contained in the provided guide-book. There will be garden-stops along the tour with light refreshments available.  Advance tickets are available for $26 and $30 the day of the event.  Tickets are available via our website (www.livermorehistory.com) or by visiting the Livermore Heritage Guild (2155 Third Street in Livermore).  No pets, strollers or high-heels.  All attendee’s (including children) must possess a ticket.

The Tri-Valley SOCKs (Stepping Out for Cancer Kures) has announced the date for its third annual "Bras for the Cause" Breast Cancer Walk in downtown Pleasanton on Saturday night, May 10th, starting at 7:00 pm. The Bras for the Cause Walk is a very popular, high-energy event with hundreds of walkers and spectators. So get your walking shoes, decorate a bra and join us for a 10 kilometer moonlit walk with a group of spirited, supportive sisters and brave brothers (and YES the men do wear bras!)
