After moving Checkers Catering & Special Events to Livermore from San Ramon four years ago we quickly became Chamber members to get involved in the community. The Livermore Chamber has a huge following of very involved people from many organizations. The members are both large and small which gives everybody great networking opportunities. By getting involved with the Chamber and becoming a board member I have been able to grow my business. The key for anyone is to get involved!

The Livermore Chamber of Commerce has done a tremendous job welcoming Peninsula Building Materials to the community. The Staff and Ambassador team were all on hand for our grand opening and they helped to make our ribbon cutting a great success. Additionally, they came again to tour our facility to give us additional exposure with their Big Business Day which is a part of their Leadership Livermore Program. The Chamber of Commerce has been absolutely vital to building my business. Not only do I have a network of businesses to whom I can refer colleagues and other businesses, the Chamber has referred other businesses to me too. The Chamber mixers are a great way to meet new businesses, and I've developed several friendships as well as professional associations because of all the activities they put on. Being a member of the Livermore Chamber of Commerce has been very beneficial, probably because I made a commitment to use what the Chamber has to offer. Since joining over a year ago, I have attended the monthly mixers on a regular basis, distributed flyers in the monthly business journal, placed my brochure in the front office of the Chamber and signed on as an Ambassador to welcome new members, attend ribbon cuttings and staff events. In return, not only have I increased my business; but just as important, I have been able to get to know others in our business community.
