August 18, 2025 – The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce has recently collaborated with the Granada High School DECA Club’s Tag Program to provide websites for chamber members.

DECA prepares young intelligent minds to develop insight on real world situations, business transactions, and create wonderful people skills. This club strives to teach and enlighten high school and college students and push them into their future careers to prosper.

Sheehan Krishna, a student at Granada High School and a member of the DECA club, is heading up their project that will reach out to chamber members that currently do not have websites for their businesses and ask to assist them in creating a website that will work for the business.

The TAG program is a platform that connects local students with local business owners. They match students eager to gain real-world experience with businesses that want to boost their online presence, attract more customers, and stay competitive. Students gain valuable portfolio pieces, practical skills, and local connections, while businesses get fresh ideas, affordable support, and a chance to invest in the next generation of local talent. The agreement was enacted on Friday, August 15, 2025, and will run continuously.

“We are so excited and impressed with this arrangement with the DECA club Tag program! The initiative that came from the students and matched with the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce to serve a need in the business community was brilliant.” states Sherri Souza, Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO. “We look forward to working with the students to accomplish a level of business knowledge and comprehension that may not have happened any other way. It helps our members who

may not have the means or knowledge to do this for themselves. Today, not having a website can cripple a business from growth and opportunity.”
