Mark your calendar for the last Thursdays of June, July, August and September for the popular Music in the Orchard concert series in its fifth year at the Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort and Spa. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and relax under the olive trees of Livermore’s finest resort at 4549 Cross Road to enjoy talented musicians while supporting local students.

The Pedrozzi Foundation is once again a beneficiary of the enjoyable outdoor concert series presented by the Purple Orchid, Nottingham Cellars, and Posada Restaurant. The Foundation was established by Livermore businessman Mario Pedrozzi, so it is appropriate for local businesses to join together to support local students.

This year’s line-up includes: Toree McGee on June 29, Meredith and The Mercenaries on July 27, Crawdad Republic on August 31, and Saint Ashbury on September 28.  All concerts are from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Awarding winning wines by Nottingham Cellars, beer from local breweries and food by area favorite Posada Restaurant will be available for purchase.  No outside food or beverage allowed.

A portion of proceeds from ticket, beverage and food sales supports the work of the Pedrozzi Foundation, helping expand the Foundation’s impact. In addition to awarding scholarships to Livermore students, the Foundation works to help create a career and college bound culture among all Livermore students and families – especially those in underrepresented and underserved communities. Partnering with the school district to fund PSAT testing for all sophomores and hosting free workshops on applying for financial aid are a few ways the Foundation is helping students reach their potential. The Foundation recently awarded $408,500 in scholarships to 112 local students. Learn more at

The Pedrozzi Foundation provides college and vocational scholarships and resources to Livermore students. We believe that all students deserve the chance to pursue their educational and career goals and that the lack of finances or information should not be a barrier. Every day we create an impact by helping our students achieve their dreams. The Foundation was established by Mario Pedrozzi, a Livermore businessman, who left his estate as a gift to the community. Other community members are continuing Mr. Pedrozzi’s legacy by generously donating to this unique and high-impact community organization. Learn more at
