Livermore, CA – The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce recognized local Chamber member businesses at its #LivValBiz Awards luncheon this week, highlighting the “best, brightest and most promising members of the business community”, said Jody Amos, incoming chair of the Chamber Board of Directors.

Held outdoors at the Garré Vineyard & Winery, the event was attended by dignitaries, nominees, and business leaders from the Livermore Valley. “This event is all about celebrating the business community,” said Dawn Argula, Chamber president and CEO, “After taking a hiatus due to restrictions on social gatherings in 2021, we were excited about hosting the awards in person again this year recognizing the achievements of our local businesses, small and large.”

2022 award recipients were recognized in one of six categories:

Dream Big Small Business Award: AJ’s Bike Service

The business demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit that reflects a commitment to the Livermore Valley’s future.  Stands out for their exceptional business practices and community involvement.  Employs 50 or fewer employees.  Must be a privately-owned for-profit entity.  Franchises not eligible.

Best in Hospitality Award: Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham

The business showcases Livermore Valley in a positive light; goes the extra mile in providing service to visitors, enhancing the visitor’s experiences and desire to return to the Livermore Valley.

Emerging New Business of the Year Award: Bay Area Redwood

This business is an emerging growth company that has demonstrated its ability to disrupt and have an immediate impact; has a capacity for creatively and innovation; experienced growth and established itself as a leader in its industry.

Manufacturer of the Year Award: DRÄXLMAIER Group

This business demonstrates innovative manufacturing concepts; exhibits strength in the area of employee training; and demonstrates a commitment to the Livermore Valley through community engagement and support.

Non-Profit of the Year Award: Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance

This organization demonstrates a prevalent presence in the community; is innovative, builds relationships with the Livermore business community; and is a leader in the non-profit sector.

Awesomeness Achievement Award: Comcast Business

The business or organization exemplifies excellence in corporate citizenship by giving back to the community; possesses a corporate culture than enhances the lives of its employees; stands out in the community for its community support and collaboration.
