Temporary Tax Relief and $500 Million in Grants

Billions in immediate, temporary tax relief will support businesses impacted by COVID-19, including an automatic three-month extension for taxpayers filing less than $1 million in sales tax and interest-free payment agreements to larger companies with up to $5 million in sales tax and expanded interest-free payment options for larger businesses particularly affected by significant restrictions on operations based on COVID-19 transmissions.

California Health Officials Announce a Regional Stay at Home Order Triggered by ICU Capacity

Bay Area Health Officers Move to Implement the State’s New Regional Stay Home Order, Not Waiting Until Local Hospitals Are Near Crisis to Act

Livermore City Council Authorized the use of Matching Funds for the Alameda County CARES Grant Program

At Monday’s meeting, the City Council authorized the use of $1,000,000 in matching funds for the Alameda County CARES Grant program. This action creates a pool of $2,000,000 that Livermore businesses can apply for at $5,000 per business, which can be used for rent, payroll, and other expenditures. APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NOV. 30

Statement on State’s Limited Stay-at-Home Order for Purple Tier Counties

UPDATE from Alameda County Health Care Services Agency – Nov. 9

This week Alameda County announced a temporary pause on plans to open additional activities due to recent increases in the COVID-19 case rate.

Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce Takes a Stance on Propositions 15 and 21

If approved by voters, starting in 2022-2025, and depending on the application of rules to certain properties, commercial properties valued at $3 million or more will be reassessed at current market value. This will be the single largest tax increase of its kind in California.
