Governor Newsom Announces Immediate Assistance for Businesses Impacted by COVID-19 Including Temporary Tax Relief and $500 Million in Grants
Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that California will provide temporary tax relief for eligible businesses impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.
Bay Area Health Officers Move to Implement the State’s New Regional Stay Home Order, Not Waiting Until Local Hospitals Are Near Crisis to Act
The temporary restrictions will go into effect on 12:01 am, Monday, December 7, 2020 in Alameda County, and will remain in effect through January 4, 2021.
Livermore City Council Authorized the use of Matching Funds for the Alameda County CARES Grant Program
At Monday’s meeting, the City Council authorized the use of $1,000,000 in matching funds for the Alameda County CARES Grant program. This action creates a pool of $2,000,000 that Livermore businesses can apply for at $5,000 per business, which can be used for rent, payroll, and other expenditures. APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NOV. 30
Statement on State’s Limited Stay-at-Home Order for Purple Tier Counties
The State announced today a limited Stay at Home Order generally requiring that non-essential work, movement, and gatherings stop between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. PST in counties in the Purple Tier.
State Moves Alameda County to Purple Tier
Starting at 12:01 a.m. on November 18 previously open sectors and activities are restricted to State’s Purple Tier allowances and restrictions

This week Alameda County announced a temporary pause on plans to open additional activities due to recent increases in the COVID-19 case rate.
