Program:
Two art events will take place in the Gallery at the Bankhead Theater on Saturday, November 18.  In the morning, the Holiday Art Fair will showcase the work of more than two dozen artists. Paintings, ceramics, jewelry and other craft pieces will be for sale. The event coincides with the “Earlier than the Bird” shopping event throughout downtown Livermore with an emphasis on hand made and one-of-a-kind gifts. As part of the “Earlier than the Bird” event, visitors to the Holiday Art Fair who wear pajamas are eligible to enter to win a Bankhead Wine Box with three bottles of award-winning Livermore wines.

An afternoon reception will honor the “Artistas Naturalistas: Art of the Natural World” exhibit at the Bankhead Gallery which opened on November 1, 2017 and will run through January 8, 2018. Sixty pieces of art bring the outside in, as dozens of local artists show the natural world from an artist’s perspective. From cows and bird and other wildlife, to city scenes and landscapes, the works cover a range of media and sizes. The reception provides an opportunity to meet the artists and will include light refreshments and the music of the Matt Finders Trio from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

The Art Fair, the Exhibit and the Reception are all free and open to the public. The Bankhead Theater Visitor’s Center and Gallery is staffed and open seven days a week from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.
