Livermore, CA – Sherri Souza joins the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce as its new Chief Executive Officer and President.  Jody Amos, owner of Amos Productions and Altamont Limo, chair of the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce made the announcement to attendees at our Chairman’s Circle Reception at Murietta’s Well on Thursday night.

“I am so pleased to confirm Sherri to the position of President/CEO.  Sherri has been serving as Interim President/CEO for the last 10 months due to a medical leave of absence of Dawn Argula, our former President/CEO. Upon Dawn’s recent resignation, the Executive Committee diligently researched the options for the Chamber and decided that Sherri brings to the Chamber her experience as a business owner, volunteer leader, and previous LVCC board member experience and has a long term passion for the work of the Livermore Valley Chamber. Her favorable reputation in the community is an important asset to the Chamber and will assist in strengthening Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce moving forward,” said Amos.

A long-time Livermore resident, Souza’s experience is inclusive of industrial sales, retail management and, most recently, served 20 years as a local Realtor and independent broker in Livermore, serving 15 of those years as a volunteer leader in the real estate industry. Accomplishing a State Presidency for California and then a National Presidency with the National Women’s Council of Realtors based out of Chicago, Sherri has the skills and abilities to lead the Chamber staff to new horizons.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to lead the LVCC organization,” said Souza.     “Its members represent the most respected businesses and organizations in their fields.  The business connections and partnerships that have been created by the efforts of the Chamber is inspiring and we hope to continue the expansion of this mindset and grow the Chamber beyond our wildest dreams. It is an exciting time to be a part of this Chamber.”
