East Bay Regional Park District Closes Parks
Due to Fire Danger and Air Quality
The East Bay Regional Park District has closed all parks due fire danger and poor air quality until further notice, including access from the Alviso Adobe via the Castleridge Trail, Augustin Bernal Park via the Golden Eagle Trail, and Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park on Foothill Road. Paved interpark regional trails not within closed parks are not affected by the closures and will remain open.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has also extended a Spare the Air Alert through Sunday, August 23 also due to the poor air quality. Burning wood, manufactured fire logs or any other solid fuel is prohibited both indoors and outdoors. If the smell of smoke is present, protect your health by avoiding exposure. Stay inside with windows and doors closed until smoke levels subside, if heat is not an issue.
